Small encoderIntroduction:
A scanning system consisting of a circular grating and an indicator grating projects a beam of infrared light on one side of the scanning system, and the photosensitive device on the other side of the scanning system can receive the scanning light signal; When the circular grating rotates, the scanning light signal received by the photosensitive device will change. The photosensitive device can convert the light signal into an electrical signal and output it to the control system or instrument.
Precautions for small encoders:
1. Connection issue. Do not apply direct impact to the shaft during installation. The connection between the encoder shaft and the machine should use a flexible connector. When installing the connector on the shaft, do not forcefully press it in. Even with the use of connectors, due to poor installation, it is still possible to apply a load greater than the agreed load to the shaft, or create a shifting appearance. The service life of bearings is related to the operating conditions and is particularly affected by the bearing load. Do not disassemble the rotary encoder (electronic handwheel), as this will damage the oil and drip prevention functions. The oscillation added to the rotary encoder (encoder selection) often becomes the cause of false pulse occurrence.
2. Attention should be paid to the setting and installation locations. The more pulses occur per revolution, the narrower the gap between the slots of the rotating disk, making it more susceptible to oscillation. During low-speed rotation or stoppage, oscillations applied to the shaft or body may cause the rotating groove disk to vibrate, which may result in false pulses.
3. Regarding wiring and connection, miswiring may damage internal circuits, so full attention should be paid when wiring. Wiring should be done in the power off state. When the power is turned on, if the output line touches the power supply, it may sometimes damage the output circuit. If the wiring is incorrect, it may sometimes damage the internal circuit, so it is important to pay sufficient attention to the polarity of the power supply when wiring. To prevent induced noise, it is advisable to use the shortest possible spacing for wiring. Special attention should be paid when inputting into integrated circuits.
