Multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are nanomaterials made by curling multiple layers of concentric cylindrical graphene sheets, with a layer spacing of about 0.34 nm (close to the graphite layer spacing), a diameter typically ranging from 5 to 100 nm, and a length of up to micrometers to millimeters. Compared with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs), MWCNTs have a more stable structure, lower preparation costs, and are suitable for industrial applications.

Preparation method: Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
Temperature: 600~1000 ° C (200~300 ° C lower than SWCNT).
Carbon sources: methane, ethylene, acetylene, etc.
Catalyst: Fe, Co, Ni or their oxide nanoparticles.
Features: Can control diameter and number of layers, suitable for continuous production.
