Principle:

There are four types of tests that can be conducted in the salt spray test chamber: neutral salt spray test (NSS), copper accelerated acetic acid salt spray test (CASS), alternating salt spray test, and acetic acid salt spray test (ASS test). Of course, not only do different experiments require different solutions, but also the design and structure of the chamber may vary.

1、 The temperature requirements for the neutral salt spray test (NSS) chamber are (35 ± 2) ℃, humidity greater than 95%, and a mist reduction of 1-2 mL/80 cm * h. The nozzle pressure is 78.5-137.3 kPa (0.8~1.4 kgf/cm2). In the salt spray test chamber, salt water containing (5 ± 0.5)% sodium chloride and pH value of 6.5~7.2 is spray through the spray device to allow the salt spray to settle on the test piece to be tested, and the surface corrosion state is observed after a certain period of time.

2、 The Copper Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray Test (CASS) is based on the general salt spray test, in which 5% sodium chloride salt water is added with 2 water to a concentration of 0.26g/L, and then the pH of the salt spray collection solution is adjusted with acetic acid to a pH of 3.1-3.3. (Reference GB/T 10125 Artificial Atmosphere Corrosion Test)

3、 Alternating salt spray test is a comprehensive salt spray test (implemented using an alternating salt spray test chamber).

4、 The Acetate Salt Spray Test (ASS Test) was developed based on the Neutral Salt Spray Test. It involves adding some glacial acetic acid to a 5% sodium chloride solution.
