Precautions for fully automatic ABB frequency converter:
1. The ambient temperature has a significant impact on the service life of the frequency converter, so attention should be paid to the surrounding ambient temperature and the heat dissipation of the frequency converter.
2. The voltage at both ends of the electrolytic capacitor should not exceed the allowable operating voltage. Due to the positive and negative polarity of the electrolytic capacitor, it cannot be reversed when used in a circuit. In the power circuit, when a positive voltage is output, the positive terminal of the electrolytic capacitor is connected to the output terminal of the power supply, and the negative terminal is grounded. When a negative voltage is output, the negative terminal is connected to the output terminal, and the positive terminal is grounded.
3. If the concentration of corrosive gases is high in the usage environment, it will not only corrode the leads of electronic components, printed circuit boards, etc., but also accelerate the aging of plastic components and reduce insulation performance. In this case, the control box should be made into a closed structure and ventilated.
4. Electrolytic capacitors should not be placed near high-power heating elements in the circuit to avoid drying the electrolyte due to heating. For filtering positive and negative polarity signals, two electrolytic capacitors can be used in series as non-polar capacitors.
5. The control cabinet of the frequency converter should not be subjected to vibration and impact. If vibration occurs, it will cause poor electrical contact. Therefore, we need to improve the mechanical strength of the control cabinet, stay away from vibration and impact sources, and use anti-seismic rubber pads to fix components such as electromagnetic switches outside and inside the control cabinet that generate vibration.
6. When used in places with high dust, it is necessary to pay attention to overall sealing, design air inlet and outlet for ventilation, and the top of the control cabinet should have a protective net and a protective top cover for air outlet. The bottom of the control cabinet should have a bottom plate and air inlet, inlet holes, and install dust-proof nets.
7. Good grounding should be established, and the grounding wires of strong current control systems such as motors should be reliably grounded through busbars. The control system should be grounded independently as much as possible, and the shielding layer should be connected to the control ground of the control system to effectively suppress the conduction interference of the frequency converter on the power grid. Input AC and DC reactors should be installed.
