1. Drill pipes should undergo regular maintenance and upkeep, with maintenance intervals determined based on the usage environment and air humidity. Regular rust prevention, oil coating, and dust prevention treatment should be carried out.
2. The use of drill rods should be within the rated drilling distance of the drilling rig, and matching drill rods should be selected based on the technical parameters of the drilling distance and the model of the drilling rig.
3. The series of water exploration drill rods are right angle large pitch drill rods produced using advanced foreign technology. The spiral steel strip and rod body of the water exploration drill rod are wrapped and welded with special materials. The water exploration drill rod has high strength, good elasticity, is not easy to bend, and is easy and fast to connect. If there is any sticking or locking phenomenon, the drilling should be stopped immediately or slowly drilled back to ensure that the drill rod does not bend or deform.
5. When the drill pipe is ventilated or watered, it should be determined that the drill pipe is tightly connected during drilling. When the drill pipe has seals, such as O-ring seals, attention should be paid to the use of the seals. In case of damage, corrosion, or other phenomena, the seals should be replaced in a timely manner. After drilling is completed, perform maintenance and cleaning work on the seals.
6. When drilling the drill rod, it should be manually connected correctly to ensure a tight fit. It is not allowed to drill directly with a drilling rig to prevent damage to the drill rod.
7. If the bending degree of the drill rod exceeds the standard requirements or the thread is damaged after use, causing it to be unable to operate normally, it should be promptly scrapped or returned to the factory for repair.
8. According to the standard requirements, it should be ensured that the drilling depth of the drill rod meets the relevant requirements of geological drilling to prevent the occurrence of detachment of the drill rod due to the drilling depth reaching the limit of its use.
9. When working in acidic and alkaline areas, attention should be paid to the corrosive effect on drill pipes. When drilling, the surface of the rod should be cleaned with clean water in a timely manner to remove the corrosion layer.
10. Drill rods should be stored in a dry place with multiple supports at the bottom. Regular maintenance should be carried out on the drill rods during long-term storage.
11. Drill rods shall not be used as support platforms for heavy tail stacking, and shall not be placed randomly under crushed stones, coal piles, or scattered stacking.
12. After the maintenance and rust removal/dust cleaning of the drill pipe, the protective cap should be fastened or the pipe should be sealed in a box to ensure that the drill pipe is always fresh and used.
