What is the difference between a vibration transmitter and a vibration sensor

In the automatic detection and control of production processes, with the popularization of computer distributed control systems (DCS) and the improvement of process automation, the application of vibration transmitters is becoming increasingly widespread. Intelligent vibration transmitters have a wide range of application prospects in online detection of the operating conditions of power machinery, research on the vibration characteristics of vibrating objects, or determination of vibration modes.

The general terminology for sensors includes corresponding definitions for sensors, transmitters, and vibration sensors. Among them, sensors are devices or equipment that can sense the measured data and convert it into usable output signals according to certain rules. They are usually composed of sensitive components and conversion units. When the output is a specified standard signal, it is called a transmitter. A vibration sensor is a sensor that can sense mechanical motion vibration parameters (mechanical vibration velocity, frequency, acceleration, etc.) and convert them into usable output signals. Therefore, a vibration transmitter is a device or apparatus that converts mechanical motion vibration parameters (mechanical vibration velocity, frequency, acceleration, etc.) into specified standard output signals.

A vibration transmitter typically consists of two parts: a vibration sensor and a signal conditioning unit. Vibration sensors are mainly composed of vibration sensitive units; The signal conditioning unit is mainly composed of a measurement unit, a signal processing and conversion unit, and some vibration transmitters have a display unit.

Installation:

1) Installation position: Install vertically or horizontally on the tested vibration point, fix the bottom screw of the vibration transmitter on the tested housing, and then tighten the vibration transmitter on top.

2) Installation dimensions and specifications: If the installation position of the vibration transmitter is subjected to high temperature steam erosion, protective measures need to be taken to reduce the ambient temperature of the vibration transmitter. Generally, no protection is required.

3) Wiring instructions: The red wire is connected to the positive terminal of the DC24V power supply, and the blue wire is connected to the negative terminal of the DC24V power supply. At the same time, the red and blue wires are also 4-20mA output leads. The connecting wires require good insulation performance and use two core shielded cables.
