　　1、 Functional Features

1. Multiple starting methods: There are six starting methods including current limiting starting, voltage ramp starting, jump+current limiting starting, jump+voltage ramp starting, current ramp starting, and dual closed-loop starting, which can be selected according to different load characteristics to meet the needs of various application scenarios.

2. Soft parking function: By gradually reducing the voltage to achieve smooth shutdown, it can eliminate water hammer effect, protect pipeline system, and is suitable for loads such as belt conveyors and elevators that are not suitable for sudden shutdown.

3. Rich protection functions: It has multiple protection functions such as overcurrent protection, phase loss protection, three-phase current imbalance protection, overheating protection, motor overload protection, overvoltage protection, load short circuit protection, etc., which can effectively protect the safe operation of equipment and motors. In addition, it also has functions such as external fault input protection, voltage loss protection, and protection against excessive starting time.

4. 1. Rated voltage: It is usually suitable for various power supply voltages, such as 380V, 660V, etc., depending on the product model and specifications.

2. Rated current: The "780" in SPV8R-780 may represent a rated current of 780A, which represents the maximum motor current that the soft starter can control.

3. Rated power: determined by rated voltage and rated current, different combinations of rated voltage and current correspond to different rated powers, which can be selected according to the actual motor power.

4. Start time and stop time: The soft start and soft stop time can be adjusted from 2-60 seconds, and can be set according to the load situation and process requirements.

　　3、 Trial operation inspection and precautions

For safe operation, the following terms should be checked before powering on:

-Whether the soft start power matches the motor power can be entered into the "Motor Rated Current" item in the "Operating Parameter Settings", and set according to the motor nameplate current value.

-Does the insulation of the electric motor meet the requirements?

-Is the input and output wiring of the main circuit correct?

-Are all wiring nuts tightened?

-Use a multimeter to check if there is a short circuit in the three-phase incoming power supply (R.S.T)?

-After power on, displaying "stop status" indicates that the motor is in a normal ready to start state. The "jog" method can be used to check whether the motor direction is correct. If it is not correct, any two phases at the motor end can be replaced.

-During the trial operation, if the starting state of the motor is not ideal, you can refer to the functional parameter table on page 22 Set the start and stop parameters, and make corresponding modifications to the starting mode, current, voltage, time, and other parameters.

-If fault protection occurs during the entire power on and operation process, the fault status will be displayed. Please follow the fault display and handling methods on page 24 and follow the corresponding prompts for handling.

-After the soft starter is powered on, do not open the hood to avoid electric shock.

-During the trial operation, if any abnormal phenomena are found, such as abnormal sound, smoke or odor, the machine should be stopped quickly, the power should be cut off, and the cause should be checked.

-When the soft starter output is not connected to the motor and powered on, there is induced voltage in the U.V.W three-phase, which is a normal phenomenon.
