Measurement principle:
Radio frequency admittance is a new level control technology developed from capacitive technology, which is anti hanging, more reliable, accurate, and widely applicable. It is an upgrade of capacitive level technology. The so-called radio frequency admittance refers to the reciprocal of impedance in electricity, which is composed of resistive, capacitive, and inductive components. Radio frequency is the spectrum of high-frequency radio waves, so radio frequency admittance can be understood as measuring admittance using high-frequency radio waves. When the instrument is working, the sensor of the instrument forms an admittance value with the wall and the measured medium. When the level changes, the admittance value changes accordingly. The circuit unit converts the measured admittance value into a level signal output to achieve level measurement.
For continuous measurement, the difference between radio frequency admittance technology and traditional capacitance technology is not only mentioned above, but also includes two important circuits, which are improved based on an important discovery in conductive hanging practice. The above technology also solves the problem of connecting cables and the issue of hanging materials at the root of vertically installed sensors at this time. The two added circuits are oscillator buffer and AC converter chopper driver.
Selection:
In order to make the selected RF admittance level switch more compatible with the on-site working conditions and measure more accurately. The selection of RF admittance level switches should be done from the following aspects.
1. Insertion depth
The insertion depth is the key to whether the instrument can accurately measure the level of the object, and the length of the insertion depth also depends on whether the instrument will be affected or damaged by material impact, etc.
2. Process temperature
Different working conditions have different temperature requirements, so it is necessary to choose a temperature that matches the level switch according to the specific requirements on site. If the working environment of the instrument is high, choose a level switch that is suitable for the temperature.
3. Process Connection
Process connection is a key component of instruments installed on tanks, pipelines, and other equipment, generally divided into three categories: threads, flanges, and clamps. When selecting process connections, it is necessary to choose and customize process connections that match the appropriate size, thickness, and material based on on-site requirements.
4. Protection function and protection J length
If the site is in an environment with high dust or humidity, a RF admittance level switch with a higher protection level should be selected to avoid affecting instrument performance due to poor sealing. The protection level of the RF admittance level switch is IP66, which can meet the on-site needs of users.
In addition, if the on-site application conditions are harsh, such as when used in the ash hopper of the power plant ash conveying system, in order to reduce the damage to the probe caused by material impact, a radio frequency admittance level switch with a stainless steel protective sleeve should be selected. The protection length of the Cape-11P protection type radio frequency admittance level switch is generally 300mm and 590mm, respectively. Of course, it can also be customized according to user needs.
