1. Working principle of thermocouple
Connecting one end of a conductor made of two different materials together, when the temperature at the connection point is different from the temperature at the other end of the conductor, a thermoelectric phenomenon (Seebeck effect) will occur inside the conductor due to the difference in electron thermal motion. Thermocouples are temperature sensors that utilize this phenomenon to convert temperature differences into electrical potentials.
The thermoelectric potential of a thermocouple increases with the temperature at the sensing end, and its magnitude is only related to the material of the thermoelectric electrode and the temperature at both ends of the thermocouple, and is independent of the length and diameter of the thermoelectric electrode.
2. The working principle of thermal resistance
Due to the thermal motion of electrons, the resistivity of metal conductors changes with temperature, thereby converting changes in external temperature into changes in technical resistance values. Thermistors are temperature sensors that use this phenomenon to convert temperature differences into resistance values.
