The SM4-10/12/15 servo valve from Vickers provides closed-loop control of the system, with advantages such as high position accuracy, repeatable speed curves, and predictable force or torque adjustment. �

Typical applications of servo valves include injection/blow molding systems, testing and simulation devices, die-casting machines, hydraulic brakes, entertainment facilities, oil exploration vehicles, and logging machinery.

Valve is a component mainly used for electro-hydraulic conversion, which can convert small electrical signals into high-power hydraulic energy output. The electromagnetic torque, spring tube reverse torque, feedback rod reverse torque, and other forces have a significant impact on the performance of the electro-hydraulic control system. Therefore, it is the core and key of the electro-hydraulic control system. A typical servo valve consists of a permanent magnet torque motor, nozzle, baffle, valve core, valve sleeve, and control chamber. Servo valves are widely used in electro-hydraulic position, velocity acceleration, force servo systems, and servo vibration generators. They have the advantages of small size, compact structure, high power amplification factor, high control accuracy, good linearity, small dead zone, high sensitivity, good dynamic performance, and fast response speed

The high-performance SM4 series servo valve offers a wide range of flow outputs in three models of this size series, with rated flow rates ranging from 3.8 to 57 l/min (1.0 to 15 USgpm) at 70 bar (1000 psi) △ p.

The SM4 series is a two-stage modular design flow control valve that can be integrated into block or plate installations. The symmetrical double coil, four air gaps, and torque motor are connected to the pilot valve of the nozzle baffle through six screws.

Adopting a four-way slide valve and valve sleeve structure with mechanical zero adjustment. The position of the valve core is fed back through a feedback rod. An integrated 35 μ m filter protects the pilot stage from contamination.

By combining the SM4 servo valve with the hydraulic cylinder, position sensor, and corresponding circuit, it is possible to achieve stepless control of the hydraulic cylinder position with an accuracy of 0.025 mm (0.0001 inch) or higher (depending on the selected components, stroke length, and load characteristics).

The combination of SM4 servo valve, hydraulic servo motor, tachometer and corresponding circuit can achieve stepless control of proportional flow rate. In real-time control of speed/acceleration curve, the closed-loop error can be guaranteed to be less than 1/10 of revolutions per minute.

By combining SM4 with pressure/force sensors, hydraulic cylinders, and pressure control circuits, pressure/force control can be achieved, and the system stability can reach 1% of the pressure and load range.
