The pilot valve of a normally open valve remains open under the action of a bias spring, and the pilot fluid flows towards port 1, establishing pressure balance at both ends of the main valve core. This moves the main valve core to open, allowing fluid to flow from the side to the bottom (2 to 1), while maintaining a lower limit of pressure difference (25-50psi) between the two ports (2 and 1) to overcome the spring force of the main valve and keep it open. The electromagnetic coil is energized, pushing the pilot valve core to press against its valve seat, closing the channel for the main valve chamber to leak to oil port 1. The pressure in the main valve chamber rises to the same level as the inlet port (oil port 2), and the main valve core is pressed against its valve seat under this pressure, thus cutting off the flow of fluid from oil port 2 to oil port 1. If the pressure at the bottom of the plug (oil port 1) increases at this time, it can overcome the spring force and electromagnetic force, push the valve core away from the valve seat, and allow the throttled fluid to flow through the plug (oil port 1 to 2 direction).

A two-way directional valve driven by a low leakage magnet. In the state where the electromagnet loses power, this type of valve is similar to a one-way valve, which blocks the flow of liquid in one direction with a small leakage rate (5 drops per minute or less), while allowing the flow of liquid to pass through when the electromagnet is powered on. Typically, this type of valve is chosen due to its low leakage characteristics and flow capacity that can meet high flow requirements. Seat valve type valves are typically used for single acting actuators or unloading functions. They can be normally closed or normally open, allowing liquid flow to pass freely in the reverse direction, and have a fast response type to choose from.

The D1SE directional control valve is equipped with a wet needle armature solenoid valve and a non draining conical lift valve. Due to the 3/2-way design, port A can either be connected to P or discharged from the fuel tank. The neutral position (solenoid valve not activated) is automatically activated by the reset spring. Maintain this position until the solenoid is energized.

The valve lift valve, which includes the armature of the starting rod and solenoid, is located in the pressurized oil chamber connected to T. The valve lift valve is designed so that there is no differential zone in its axial direction of operation (open, close). Therefore, static pressure balance allows the valve to switch between two flow directions even under pressure.

The directional control valve is a high-performance hydraulic valve that operates directly on/off. These are wet armature designed solenoid valves in 2 or 3 position configurations. The valve can be used as a 3-way or 4-way, and the D1VW valve complies with the D03 (NG6) installation mode.
