At present, baffles can be designed according to the size of the water flow rate to reduce the water resistance generated by the flow sensor and minimize the pressure head loss of the water system. However, due to the long-term impact of water flow on the baffle type, fatigue problems still exist, and even if the flow rate value is calibrated in the factory, set point drift may occur.

Plug in flow sensors are based on the thermal principle. The measuring probe heats up by comparing with the temperature of the fluid medium, and when the fluid passes through the probe, it takes away some of the heat from the heating coil.

The change in fluid flow rate is reflected by measuring the difference in resistance between these two thermistors. Turck wear-resistant thermal flow sensors can be used for flow rate monitoring of liquid or gas media.

Usually used in places where precise flow protection is not required, such as for sudden interruption of water flow in pipes. There are very few designs for water source heat pump units in China.

The baffle type is specifically developed for water flow monitoring of water ring/ground source heat pump air conditioning units. It is equipped with different baffles for different pipe diameters, and the water resistance of each baffle does not exceed 0.5 meters of water column, which is greatly reduced compared to the target type water resistance.

Based on feedback from the use of water ring/ground source heat pump units, the differential pressure switch can effectively identify problems with the water pipeline installed on site, avoiding situations where the heat exchanger freezes due to low water flow. The flow sensor can also protect the heat exchanger from freezing due to a decrease in water flow caused by clogged water filters. Additionally, there is no risk of fatigue damage to the target flow switch in the water pipeline differential pressure switch.

Especially when there is a small amount of air in the water pipeline, the flow sensor works very stably and does not float like a target flow switch. After years of use, feedback has not found any faults in the pressure differential switch itself.

Each baffle type flow sensor is equipped with the same fittings as the water pipe of the water ring heat pump unit. On site, only the water pipe needs to be connected without making any changes to the baffle. In addition, the pressure of the baffle type water flow switch is greater than 25 bar, making it a low-cost water flow switch for water ring heat pump units with low water flow requirements.
