Precautions for using industrial wire displacement sensors

To ensure the occurrence of accidents, users are requested to check if the wiring is correct and verify if the voltage is at the rated value before connecting the power supply.

2. Generally, the transmission cable of displacement sensors should not be too long, especially for long-distance transmission of analog voltage signals, which can cause signal attenuation and seriously affect the quality of signal transmission. For long-distance transmission of sensor data, analog current signals or digital signals should be prioritized.

3. There are various types of displacement sensors, and sensor products designed based on different principles may have slightly different measurement accuracy, service life, response frequency, and applicable scenarios. Suitable displacement sensor products should be selected according to on-site installation and measurement requirements.

4. The displacement sensor has two output states simultaneously, namely the transition from high voltage to low voltage and the transition from low voltage to high voltage, and the lower limit of low voltage can be less than 0VDC, which is more conducive to the comparison of cut-off when used for control.

During the installation and use of displacement sensors, direct sunlight, high and low temperature areas, platforms with severe vibration or impact, or environments with corrosive media should be avoided as much as possible to prevent any impact on the sensor's detection and conversion data or product service life.

6. The displacement sensor signal transmission cable cannot share the same wiring conduit or wiring groove with the equipment power line or power line. The cable should use shielded wire with outstanding anti-interference performance. The installation and use of sensors should avoid RF signal sources, high-power electrical or other equipment with noise interference to prevent any impact on the sensor output signal.

7. Displacement sensors have a certain range of measurement range, and using them beyond their range may cause the sensor to be unable to output accurate data, and in severe cases, it may damage the sensor. When purchasing or customizing displacement sensor products, the appropriate range should be selected, and some products may have a certain margin to facilitate sensor installation and use.
