Overview
The industrial surplus electrical current limiting protector integrates multiple current limiting units, which can achieve short-circuit protection and arc extinguishing function for 4 or 6 or less single-phase circuits. It has two installation methods: horizontal and vertical, with a maximum rated current of 40A. The wiring is simple, easy to install, and has strong expandability.

Short circuit protection function. The protection box can monitor the current of 4 or 6 or less single-phase circuits in real time. When a short circuit fault occurs in a certain line, it can achieve rapid current limiting and arc extinguishing protection within 150 microseconds and emit sound and light alarm signals.

■ Overload protection function. When the load current behind the protection box is overloaded and the overload duration exceeds the action time (default 3 seconds), the current limiting unit inside the protection box starts the current limiting protection and emits an audible and visual alarm signal.

■ Over temperature protection function. The protective box contains devices such as fans inside. When the temperature inside the protective box continues to be too high, the internal current limiting unit implements over temperature current limiting protection and emits an audible and visual alarm signal.

Overvoltage and undervoltage protection function. The protection box can detect the voltage of the circuit. When undervoltage or overvoltage occurs, the protection box will emit an audible and visual alarm signal, and the current limiting unit can be separately set in advance to enable current limiting protection.

■ Leakage current monitoring function. The protection box can detect the leakage current of the circuit. When a leakage fault occurs, the protection box will emit an audible and visual alarm signal, and the current limiting unit can be separately set in advance to enable current limiting protection.

The display unit of the protection box has one RS485 interface and can be optionally equipped with a wireless communication module, with 2G, NB IoT, and 4G communication modes available. Data can be sent to the backend monitoring system for remote monitoring. The monitoring backend can be the Acrel-6000/B electrical fire monitoring host, the Acrel-6000 secure electricity management cloud platform, or a third-party monitoring software or platform.

Note: Leakage current monitoring and wireless communication are optional functions, and should be noted when customized.

Precautions for Industrial Residual Electrical Current Limiting Protectors

1) When selecting a current limiting protector, the rated current set by the current limiting protector should be consistent with the rated current of its circuit breaker. For example, when the rated current of the input terminal circuit breaker of the current limiting protector is 32A, the rated current of the current limiting protector should be set to 32A. To ensure the normal use of the current limiting protector, it is strictly prohibited to use it in distribution lines that do not match the rated current of its terminal circuit breaker.
2) The ASCP200-40B current limiting protector adopts wall mounted installation, which can be installed naked on the wall or in a well ventilated box. It should be ensured that the installation site is free of dripping water, corrosive chemical gases, and sedimentary substances, and attention should be paid to environmental temperature and ventilation for heat dissipation.
3) When wiring, follow the wiring diagram. At the same time, in order to prevent local overheating caused by excessive contact resistance at the joint and to avoid abnormal operation of the protector due to poor contact, ensure that the corresponding terminal wiring of the protector is tightened and compacted.
4) Non professionals are strictly prohibited from opening the product casing without authorization. After the protector is put into use, even if the protected circuit experiences a short circuit or overload fault and is limited by current protection, the protector is still in a live state. It is not allowed to touch the metal parts of the power line at will. Relevant personnel should be notified in a timely manner to check the circuit and eliminate the fault. After the fault is eliminated, press and hold the reset button of the protector for about 2 minutes to restore normal operation.
5) When the current limiting protection of the protector occurs due to overheating, it is usually caused by high ambient temperature or poor ventilation and heat dissipation. Measures such as strengthening ventilation can be taken to improve the working conditions. After the protector temperature drops, press and hold the reset button to reset the protector.
