1、 Overview of QHY Buchholz indentation tester:
1. Purpose: To determine the hardness of paint film through indentation test;
2. Experimental technical features: Hardness is expressed as the reciprocal function of indentation length (indentation resistance) under specified test conditions;
3. Used to test the pressure resistance of single or multiple coatings, but not suitable for high elasticity coatings;
4. The tester consists of a steel block with 2 support points, a sharp edged indentation disk, and a 20x microscope with scale and light source;
5. During testing, place the indentation tester on the coating surface for 30 seconds to obtain the indentation, and observe the indentation length with a microscope and an illuminated flashlight;
6. The indentation length is inversely proportional to the hardness, and the longer the indentation, the lower the hardness. The pressure resistance of the coating can be obtained by comparing the indentation length with the table.
