Maintenance of several mechanical components for diesel engine water pump
1Firstly, the sound is used to determine whether the bearing is in good condition. If there is any abnormal sound, the bearing needs to be replaced.
2Disassemble and check if the impeller is worn. If it is worn, it will affect the flow head efficiency and needs to be replaced.
3Check if the mechanical seal can still be used. If it cannot be used, it needs to be replaced
4Check if the oil tank is short of oil, and add it to the appropriate position if there is a shortage.
The function of the cooling system:
During the operation of the engine, a large amount of heat is generated due to the combustion of fuel and friction between moving parts, causing the parts to be strongly heated. Its characteristic is that the temperature of the parts in direct contact with the combustion gas is very high. Without proper cooling, the normal operation of the engine cannot be guaranteed. The function of the cooling system is to maintain the engine operating at a suitable temperature.
The consequences of engine overheating or overcooling
(1)Engine overheating
① Reduced inflation efficiency, resulting in a decrease in engine power;
② The tendency for premature ignition or detonation increases, which disrupts the normal operation of the engine. At the same time, it also causes the parts to bear additional impact loads, resulting in early wear and tear;
③ The normal gap between moving parts is disrupted. Make the parts unable to move normally or even damaged;
④ The mechanical properties of metal materials decrease, causing deformation or damage to parts;
⑤ The deterioration of lubrication conditions exacerbates the friction and wear of parts.
(2)The engine is' too cold '
If the cooling of the engine relies solely on the external heat dissipation of the parts themselves, it is not enough. Necessary forced cooling must be applied to certain parts, especially those in direct contact with high-temperature gases, to ensure the normal operation of the engine. However, excessive cooling can also cause adverse consequences.
① The temperature of the combustible mixture (or air) entering the cylinder is too low, making it difficult to ignite or burning slowly, resulting in a decrease in engine power and an increase in fuel consumption;
② The increase in viscosity of lubricating oil causes poor lubrication, exacerbates wear of parts, and also increases power consumption;
③ The water vapor in the products after combustion is prone to condense into water and form acids with acidic gases, which increases the erosion effect on parts, especially cylinder walls;
