The upper and lower fixtures contain independent high-resolution rotating mechanisms that allow for synchronized sample rotation. Torque can be applied by rotating one fixture further than another, with a maximum torsional load of100NmTensile or compressive loads can be applied simultaneously with torsion, and the load can be applied and maintained while the specimen rotates.
The rotation of the sample can be controlled in step or continuous mode through relevant imaging systems or provided control software.
