intelligent-mfgIndustry NewsJD.com launches 80 robot industrial park plans, as the industry enters a new stage of 'joint operation'
On the afternoon of August 12, 2026, Chen Ruoyu, SEC member of JD Group and CEO of JD.com, stated in his speech at the 2026 Boao Industrial Technology Conference that JD.com plans to build 80RobotIndustrial park.
Since 2026, with the rapid development of the robotics and embodied intelligence industries, the construction of domestic robotics industry parks has entered a period of intensive implementation. According to incomplete analysis by Intelligent Manufacturing Network, since the beginning of the year, many robot industrial parks in China have experienced intensive opening, construction and production, and the industrial layout has shown a trend of multi-point flowering and full chain collaboration.
On August 6th, the Liangxi Technology City Robot Industrial Park located in Wuxi officially opened. The total construction area of the park is approximately 154000 square meters, consisting of 4 research and development office and production buildings, including 1 8-story building and 3 6-story buildings. A Robot 6S Scene Innovation Center is also built, integrating production and processing, creative research and development, pilot transformation, and business office. The park focuses on the layout of embodied robots, industrial robots, commercial robots, and core components in the "four major fields" with a "full chain" thinking, and extends to the forefront of embodied intelligent robots "big and small brains". At present, the park has gathered more than 20 high growth scientific and technological innovation enterprises such as Kuaikang Intelligence, Stande Robotics, Magic Atom, Zhifang, and Weiyi Zhizao, all of which are expected to have an annual output value of over 5 billion yuan after reaching full capacity.
On July 30th, the embodied intelligent training application industrial park located in Daliang, Shunde was officially unveiled. The planned area of the industrial park is about 2.46 square kilometers, building a "one park, two zones" industrial spatial pattern and becoming the first core carrier of district level industrial strategy in the central urban area.
On July 6th, the Beijing Robot Industry Park (Changping) officially opened, and the "one south, one north" robot industry layout of "Yizhuang mass production in the south and Changping production and research integration in the north" in Beijing was finalized. The park covers a total area of 300000 square meters, with the tallest building reaching 6 meters and a load-bearing capacity of 2 tons per square meter, tailored for robot production. The park will simultaneously establish a robot special fund matrix with a total scale of 600 million yuan, and introduce three national level shared platforms, including the China Software Evaluation Center Industrial Robot (Humanoid Robot) Core Component and Whole Machine Quality Improvement Platform and the Tsinghua University Electronic Department Intelligent System Testing Platform.
In March 2026, the Changchun New Area Intelligent Robot and Sensor Industrial Park officially opened, with a construction area of 59800 square meters. It focuses on the production of complete machines and key components, as well as upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain such as Jiyi Intelligence, Jilin Province Bionic Innovation Center, Wind and Fire Wheel Technology, and China Science and Technology Integration, to build a "research and development incubation industrialization" full chain ecology.
On February 24th, Nanshan Zhizao (Honghualing Base), constructed by China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Second Company, officially opened. The modern park with a total area of nearly one million square meters revolves around the intelligent manufacturing and semiconductor track, and the first batch of 14 advanced manufacturing enterprises including Sagitar Juchuang and Zhongqing Robotics have settled in.
In addition, a batch of manufacturing projects with "gold content" are accelerating their implementation.
On August 10th, Aisiwei (Jiangxi) Artificial Intelligence Robot Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Base started construction and laid the foundation in Xinfeng County, Ganzhou City. The total investment of the project is 500 million yuan, founded by Guangdong Aisiwei in collaboration with the master's and doctoral teams of Guangdong Academy of Sciences, South China University of Technology, and Guangdong University of Technology. It is planned to be put into operation in 2027. The base is centered around AI and integrates multimodal perception technology to build a "1 platform+N product" system, targeting industries such as automotive parts, 3C electronics, new energy, and optical communication. After completion, it will connect the entire industry chain of core component processing, software and hardware research and development, and complete machine manufacturing.
On July 11th, JD's RoboBase project started construction at Huangpu Science City in Guangzhou. This is the first RoboBase project launched by JD Group in the global robotics field, with a total construction area of approximately 190000 square meters. It focuses on three major tracks: robot core components, whole machine body manufacturing, and high-end intelligent equipment. It is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2028 and put into operation in 2029, with an annual output value of approximately 1.75 billion yuan after reaching full capacity. Since 2026, JD.com has established robot intelligent industry bases in Wuxi, Guangzhou, and Shanghai.
In May 2026, Zhongqing Intelligent Manufacturing (Shenzhen Honghualing) Base was officially put into use, and the first batch of T800 humanoid robots were successfully produced. The base is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, with a construction area of 12000 square meters, and can achieve the production of one humanoid robot every 15 minutes.
In February 2026, the Baolong Intelligent Robot and New Energy Storage R&D and Industrialization Base Project (i.e. Robot Technology Park Project) located in Baolong Street, Longgang District, Shenzhen officially started construction. The total investment of the project is 800 million yuan. After completion, the annual production capacity of 8600 sets of intelligent robots and 1 GWh of new energy storage system is expected to be put into use in 2028. The Guangtang Science and Technology Innovation City Body Intelligent Industrial Park located in Tianhe, Guangzhou has started construction, with a total construction area of about 110000 square meters. It will build the industry's first full chain production base for humanoid robots, providing a key carrier for the industrialization of the core intended cooperative unit Xiaopeng's advanced humanoid robots.
Since 2026, the construction of robot industrial parks in China has shown significant characteristics of scale expansion, layout optimization, complete chain, and ecological activity. It can be foreseen that with the ramp up of robot mass production and the acceleration of embodied intelligence commercialization, the robot industry park will enter the stage of "joint operation" from "laying out stalls": whoever can truly integrate research and development, pilot testing, mass production, and scenario verification into a closed loop will be able to gain an advantage in this round of industrial space competition.
