VersaMax is a full wavelength light absorption enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) developed by Molecular Devices. The instrument is equipped with a long-life xenon flash lamp and a grating monochromator with flexible detection advantages, without the need for additional filters. The wavelength range is 340nm to 850nm, which is equivalent to having 511 filters. In endpoint detection mode or dynamic detection mode, dual wavelength detection can be performed simultaneously. The patented multi-channel optical path design and multi-channel detection mode can work like a dual wavelength spectrophotometer, consisting of an independent sample detector and a reference detector to reduce all optical path output errors caused by optical fibers. VersaMax can be used to detect 96 well plates with circular bottoms, flat bottoms, and half areas. The dual wavelength reading plate can report the actual light absorption value of each wavelength, and the data can be analyzed according to user needs; The temperature control can reach up to 45 ℃, allowing for dynamic testing at room temperature or physiological temperature conditions.

application area
It can be applied to various wavelength requirements for ELISA/EIA detection, total protein detection, microbial growth/MIC, IC50/LD50, cytotoxicity/cell proliferation, endpoint LAL endotoxin analysis, cytokine determination, etc. Due to its dynamic detection mode, it can also be used for enzymatic detection and dynamic ELISA detection.
Experimental examples
The potential toxicity of melamine can cause a range of diseases and even death in humans and animals. So the method of detecting melamine content in various foods is receiving increasing attention. Molecular Devices' VersaMax light absorption reader is used to detect the absorbance value of melamine, and SoftMax is used for melamine ELISA detection ® The Pro GxP software comes with pre built templates for data collection and analysis. This software is an industry standard analysis software with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 certification.
