1The impact and harm of stray current
Stray current interference refers to any direct current and/or alternating current forcibly applied to metal structures from external current sources (due to the generation of stray currents in soil by subways, electric locomotives, high-voltage lines, and transformer equipment, which cause corrosion and damage to underground pipelines in urban areas, long-distance transmission pipelines in the wild, and buried metal parts). The stray current flowing from the soil into the pipeline is the cathode, and the part flowing from the pipeline to the soil is the anode. The pipeline body suffers from severe corrosion, perforation, leakage, etc. For existing cathodic protection control systems, stray currents have a strong destructive effect and may pose a destructive danger.

The TC-SCM stray current tester is developed by Beijing Dingyu Xingye Technology Co., Ltd. and fully meets the GB50698-2011 AC interference protection technical standard for buried steel pipelines, SYT 0017-2006 DC drainage protection technical standard for buried steel pipelines, and SYT 0032-2000 AC drainage protection technical standard for buried steel pipelines. In response to the irregular and large variation of stray currents, the TC-SCM stray current tester adopts a high-precision and high-speed A/D converter, which can collect 1000 data per second (through Fourier transform to truly test AC stray currents). It can collect and record AC and DC stray currents in real time, draw the variation curve of stray currents, and judge the situation of stray currents in pipelines.
