The salt spray test chamber can detect various performance aspects of automotive components, accurately reproduce the atmospheric salt spray corrosion environment, and is widely used in automotive inspection work. At present, the salt spray test mainly adopts cyclic corrosion salt spray test, which can alternately change different corrosion environments to improve the accuracy of detection. In the process of salt spray corrosion, the testing method should be selected in combination with automotive parts to achieve twice the result with half the effort. It is also important to introduce advanced testing equipment to make the testing results more authentic and effective.

Test conditions


Complies with the salt dry wet composite test method: salt spray test → hot air forced drying test → moisture test


(A) Salt water spray test: NSS, ACSS, CASS, SWAAT


(1) Laboratory temperature: 35 ℃~ 50 ℃± 2 ℃

(2) Saturated air tank temperature: 47 ℃~ 63 ℃± 1 ℃

(3) Settlement amount: 1-2ml/80cm2/h (average amount over 16 hours)

(4) Spray pressure: 1.0 kg/cm2 ± 0.5 kg/cm2

(5) Salt water concentration: 5% or concentration of 5% plus 0.26 grams of copper chloride (CuCl2 2H2O)

(6) PH value: Neutral test 6.5-7.2 Acid test 3.0-3.3

(7) Installation angle of sample plate: 15 °~30 °


(B) Hot air drying test (DRY):


(1) Temperature: 60 ℃± 2 ℃

(2) Humidity: RH ≤ 30%


(C) Humidity test (SOAK):


(1) Temperature: 23 ℃± 2 ℃, humidity: 50% ± 5%

(2) Temperature: 40 ℃± 2 ℃, humidity: RH ≥ 98%

(3) Humidity: 50 ℃± 2 ℃, humidity: RH ≥ 98%
