Oil substances in water are extracted using extraction solvents in certain ratios (20:1, 20:2, 20:3... 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, etc.), and then the extraction solvent is drained and introduced into the analysis tank. The total extract content is determined by the absorbance A2930, A2960, and A3030 at the spectral bands with wave numbers of 2930cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH2 group), 2960cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH3 group), and 3030cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in aromatic ring), as well as the correction coefficients X, Y, Z, F, then calculate according to the formula concentration C=X × A2930+Y × A2960+Z × (A3030-A2930/F).
