Overview
Piston type electric solenoid valve is suitable for non corrosive refrigerant (liquid or gas) refrigeration units, and can also be used for automatic control of pneumatic systems.
Product Details
Installation steps for piston type electric solenoid valve:
1. Check upon receipt of goodsElectric solenoid valveWhether the model and parameters on the label or tag are consistent with those stated when placing the order. If there are any errors, please contact the supplier immediately.
2. Before installation, you should carefully read the user manual and check whether the actual operating parameters on site are within the range of the product you purchased. If the on-site operating parameters exceed the allowable range, please stop installation or use immediately and consult with us to avoid accidents or damage to the product.
3. Strictly follow the installation steps, remember the precautions and key points, and make sufficient preparations before installation.
4. Before installing and connecting the solenoid valve to the pipeline, flush the pipeline with air or water with a pressure of ≥ 0.3MPa to ensure that impurities (such as welding slag, sealing debris, dirt, etc.) in the pipeline are removed before connecting the solenoid valve.
5. Electromagnetic valves should not be installed in low-lying areas of pipelines. If installed in the discharge pipeline section of a container, the outlet of the pipeline should not be led out from the bottom of the container as much as possible to prevent impurities from entering the electromagnetic valve and causing malfunctions. Therefore, the outlet of the pipeline should be led out from a slightly higher position at the bottom of the container.
6. Electromagnetic valves can generally only be used in one direction and cannot be installed in reverse. There is usually a "→" symbol on the valve body to indicate the flow direction of the medium, or the English letters "IN" to indicate the inlet and "OUT" to indicate the outlet. Please be sure to install them in the direction indicated, otherwise automatic opening or leakage may occur when the fluid reaches the solenoid valve.
7. When taking over, be careful not to use excessive sealing materials. For example, when connecting with threads, the length of the external thread of the connecting pipe should not exceed the effective length of the internal thread of the solenoid valve. Use a file to chamfer at the half pitch of the front end of the external thread, and start wrapping the sealing tape from the second tooth of the thread. Otherwise, excessive sealing tape or adhesive residue entering the inner cavity of the solenoid valve may cause malfunction.
8. The requirements of solenoid valves for fluids: The fluid should be free of impurities, crystallization, solidification, scaling, paste, and viscosity<22CST, otherwise it may cause faults. At the same time, a filter should be installed on the front pipeline of the solenoid valve, and the mesh size of the filter should be ≥ 60 to prevent impurities from entering the solenoid valve.
9. Pay attention to the protection level of the product you have ordered. The regular model should not be used in flammable and explosive hazardous environments, and the IP54 level should not be installed in outdoor, severely leaking, or splashing areas.
10. The solenoid valve should be installed in a horizontal pipeline. The coil should be installed vertically upwards and should not be installed vertically, otherwise it may cause leakage and affect the service life.
11. The installation position of the solenoid valve should reserve a certain operating space for daily and regular maintenance.
12. In the case of insufficient pipeline rigidity or water hammer phenomenon, it is recommended to fix the pipes before and after the valve with brackets or other methods to prevent vibration caused by the operation of the solenoid valve.
13. When used in frozen or extremely cold places, insulation materials should be used to insulate the pipes and valve bodies, or heaters should be installed on the pipes.
14. After connecting the solenoid valve to the pipeline, forward pressure should be applied (do not apply reverse pressure, otherwise it will damage the solenoid valve), and the solenoid valve and connecting pipe should be checked for leaks.
15. For solenoid valves equipped with standard junction boxes, the plastic junction box should be removed and opened. After removing the factory test power cord, the user power cord should be connected to the terminal and fixed. However, for wire or lead type solenoid valves, it cannot be removed and the wire should be directly connected to the user power cord.
16. The power control circuits and facilities related to solenoid valves, such as relays, switches, and contactors, should be firmly connected without looseness or vibration. The electrical circuit should be connected to corresponding safety wires as protection for the electrical circuit, otherwise it will affect the normal operation or damage of the solenoid valve.
17. To facilitate normal maintenance or prevent maintenance and replacement of solenoid valves in case of malfunction, and to ensure the normal operation of the system, it is recommended to adopt one of the following backup pipeline schemes:
18. After the installation of the solenoid valve and the completion of the preliminary preparation and testing process, it must be tested with fluid 3-5 times to confirm that it is normal before it can be put into formal use.
19. Attention: If you inform us when ordering the solenoid valve that it is liquid filled, but during testing it is gas filled, if there is a leakage or leakage exceeding the standard, it is a normal phenomenon because there is a difference in density and viscosity between gas and liquid. At this time, if you fill the liquid, there will be no leakage or leakage exceeding the standard.
Common installation problems of piston type electric solenoid valve:
1. First, it is necessary to check whether the solenoid valve is consistent with the main parameters selected for the model, such as power supply voltage, material working pressure, pressure difference, etc. Especially for the switch power supply, if it is wrong, it will burn out the solenoid coil. The power supply voltage should consider the fluctuation range of the rated current working voltage: communication AC 10%~-15%, DC 10%~-10%. Ordinary electromagnetic coil components are not suitable for disassembly.
2. The magnetic coil component of a general solenoid valve should be perpendicular to the upward direction and perpendicular to the pipeline installed on the road surface. If it is necessary to install it sideways due to indoor space limitations or working conditions, it needs to be clearly stated when selecting and ordering the model. Otherwise, it will cause the solenoid valve to not function properly.
3. Before docking, the pipeline should be cleaned to eliminate any metal powder, rubber seal residue, rust, and other debris in the pipeline. Pay attention to the cleanliness level of the substance. If there is dust, residue, or other substances that hinder the normal operation of the solenoid valve, a filtering device or filter screen should be installed in the pipeline.
4. If substances can cause water hammer phenomenon, then electromagnetic valves with moisture-proof hammer function should be used or effective preventive measures should be taken.
5. Manual emergency shut-off valves should be added to the front, back, left, and right sides of the solenoid valve, and a bypass should be installed to facilitate maintenance of the solenoid valve during common malfunctions.
6. Electromagnetic valves are generally fixed and cannot be installed in reverse. They are usually placed on the valve body to emphasize the direction of material flow. When installing, they should be installed according to the direction indicated in →. But it can be reversed in the vacuum solenoid valve circuit or under special circumstances.
7. The steam solenoid valve channel side should be equipped with a steam drain valve, and the proportional solenoid valve should be skewed at this point.
8. As much as possible, it is not necessary to keep the solenoid valve connected to the power supply for a long time, as this can easily reduce the service life of the solenoid coil and even burn it out. In other words, open and close, normally closed solenoid valves cannot be interchanged for use.
