Product Details

The N-Pen N110 handheld nitrogen measuring instrument is a portable device suitable for measuring the effective nitrogen content of plant leaves during the growing season. It can be used for rapid and non-destructive detection of leaf nitrogen content in the field, laboratory, or during teaching. This instrument measures nitrogen content based on the characteristics of plant leaf reflectance spectra. The Normalized Difference Greenness Index (NDGI) calculated based on reflectance spectra is positively correlated with chlorophyll content, which is determined by leaf nitrogen content. By calibrating a specific plant, the nitrogen content can be directly measured.

Functional features:

The N Pen is compact and portable, suitable for outdoor, indoor, and educational use. Non destructive measurement of plants is fast, convenient, and easy to operate, allowing for countless measurements of the same sample during the growing season

Quickly obtaining the nitrogen content of plant leaves has a guiding role in the rational and efficient application of nitrogen fertilizers, and is of great significance in reducing costs and environmental pollution

The instrument has built-in calibration curves for wheat, barley, and corn, which can directly obtain nitrogen content percentage data; Users can also make corrections to a certain species according to their own needs

Easy to operate, simply clamp the blade in the clamp to read, save data one by one with N – Pen, and calculate the average value

Sampling must be conducted on different plants of the same species, selecting the second or third leaf from the top downwards, and detecting the same position (near the middle) for each leaf
