Large diameter filter oil skimmer

The Geotech large-diameter filter oil skimmer is a unique and efficient system for separating and extracting hydrocarbons. The system is easy to transport and ensures electrical safety when used in hazardous locations. The core component of a large-diameter filter skimmer is a floating oil/water separation device. The separation process of hydrocarbons and water is influenced by the filter membrane layer located inside the float module, which has undergone special treatment to achieve oleophilic and hydrophobic effects.

Application scope:

The Geotech large-diameter filter skimmer has a floating collection unit or "float" used to accurately float on the oil/water interface. This design allows hydrocarbons to self infiltrate into a collection tank inside the unit. This unit is very efficient and can effectively collect even if the recycled material is only a thin layer. When about one liter of hydrocarbons is collected in the collection tank, the float switch is activated, the pump is turned on, and the recovered material is automatically pumped to the ground recovery facility. A water sensing switch is also located inside the float. When water enters the buoy, the water sensing switch is activated, the pump is turned off, and the alarm light is activated. This automatic function effectively prevents excessive water content in the recovered hydrocarbons.

This device can be used in open environments such as sand wells, ponds, ditches, open lagoons, or large-diameter wells 20 '(6m) deep.
