Karlstorz, Karlstorz, industrial endoscope fiber scope, Karlstorz, endoscope, Germany
Fiber endoscopy, also known as flexible endoscopy, transmits images from the distal end to the proximal end through optical fibers. Fiber endoscopy is very flexible and adaptable, capable of detecting complex and irregularly shaped areas beyond visual acuity, as well as within pipelines, and is very easy to operate. The diameter of the Karl Storz fiber scope ranges from 0.35 mm to 9 mm, with a sturdy, smooth plastic or tungsten woven outer cover. The image can be enlarged by 2 or 4 times, and when used together with a twist protector and built-in lock, it ensures simple and efficient use. If equipped with a powerful external light source, our excellent fiber optic image transmission system can provide you with excellent and high-definition images, providing reliable guarantee for your detection work.
Glass fiber optic can transmit images to the eyepiece through the objective lens. There are different types of glass fibers, also known as "image transmission bundles", which are composed of up to 100000 individual fibers. The diameter of each fiber is much thinner than human hair. There are two types of single fibers: the core glass is wrapped in a thin layer of outer glass.
Due to the lower refractive index of the outer glass compared to the core glass, at critical moments, two glass fibers can completely reflect all light rays. The image is transmitted as a single pixel. The image decomposition and inspection of details in a room using a fiber optic microscope are determined by the quantity, density, and quality of individual fibers. Therefore, until today, the assembly of high-quality glass optical fibers still relies on manual labor.

High precision measurement in narrow spaces requires high quality and performance of the tools and instruments used.
Therefore, the endoscopes we design all have extremely small inner diameters (ranging from 0.5mm to 1.3mm), which can ensure exceptionally clear images even in very narrow spatial areas.
