IRB 5500-27

The IRB 5500-27 is designed for universal support of mobile production lines and enhanced solutions for stop and go production lines, providing higher flexibility and adaptability to different body sizes, effectively reducing the number of robots required on the production line. This enhanced flexibility combined with the advantage of adjusting the installation position of the robot reduces cycle time. In addition, ABB integrates the dynamic models of all axes, reducing total energy consumption, improving accuracy, and ensuring the synchronization and balance of robot motion.

Save paint

ABB's compact and lightweight spray application components enable important spray adjustment equipment, such as pumps, to maintain a distance of nearly 15 centimeters from the wrist, greatly reducing the waste of spray paint and solvents during color changes.

In addition to integrated process control (hardware and software), we also integrate process equipment into the IRB 5500 FlexPainter. The IRC5P controls the painting process and robot movement, saving a lot of energy.

Powered by IPS

The 'push out' function integrated into the IPS system is a special feature that can further reduce the amount of paint used.

The basic architecture of IPS is based on the integration of process control and motion control, which simplifies system setup, saves energy, and improves processes.

Designed for spraying purposes

The standard solution can accommodate color changing valves that support up to 32 color cycles, integrated into the robot's process arm. In addition, the solution also includes two pumps driven by integrated servo motors, 64 pilot valves, dual and closed-loop air atomization control, closed-loop regulation of clock speed and high-pressure control. The solution can be applied to solvent coatings and water-based coatings. When there are special requirements, this solution can also provide more features.

Spray robot control system

IRC5P is a modern control system designed specifically for painting workshops. By integrating IPS (Integrated Process System), user-friendly and Ex certified FlexPaint Pendant, and RobView 5, it can provide a range of standardized functional modules to meet spray installation and specific needs. This package includes standard applications such as user-defined screens, program editing, and version control. RobView 5 can also become a larger HMI unit control component, such as ABB FlexUI or others.
