The high guide rail of IRB 5500-25 is designed specifically for stop and go car paint lines, improving the flexibility of such production lines and easily supporting the repositioning of robots, ensuring an effective backup solution.

It can adapt to the body size of most cars, potentially reducing the number of robots on the spraying line, increasing flexibility, and being able to place robots in position, helping to increase beat speed to 10%.

Based on over 30 years of rail experience, the high rail of IRB 5500-25 is the fifth generation rail system designed by ABB for automotive spray painting workshops.

The high rail of IRB 5500-25 avoids additional engineering and other costs associated with installing IRB 5500-25 on third-party rails. The ABB dynamic modeling that integrates all axes reduces energy consumption, improves accuracy, and provides a synchronized and balanced robot spraying motion.

The high guide rail (track unit) is designed as an autonomous load-bearing structure, without the need for supporting beams under the guide rail. In order to maintain accuracy and avoid deflection, there are only two 4.7-meter (center to center) columns on the track, and one or two robots are equipped.
