The built-in standard wireless transmitter can directly transmit data to the computer when on or offline, with a wireless distance of 10-20m (33-66 feet). Using the eddy current response method that complies with DIN, EN, and ISO 2360 standards, it can measure the thickness of paint, varnish, fiber, or oxide film coatings on non-magnetic metal materials, such as MP0R dual-purpose coating thickness gauges for aluminum and stainless steel.

In order to read measurement results quickly and accurately, the device is equipped with two illuminated graphic displays. When measuring surfaces above the head, tilted or vertical, the display screen will automatically rotate. The LED on the top of the device indicates whether the value just entered is within the previously entered tolerance range.The computer software FISCHER DataCenter is included with the instrument, which has the following functions: transmitting and saving measurement values, comprehensive statistical and graphical evaluation, easy generation and printing of inspection reports, and setting upper and lower limits of tolerance ranges.
