The non-destructive measuring instruments of MP0 and MP0R series can quickly determine coating thickness and achieve the expected level of accuracy with FISCHER. With its two backlit LCDs and wear-resistant probes, these compact and lightweight instruments are ideal companions for on-site applications. The geometry and permeability of the sample have a relatively small impact on the measurement results. In addition, these instruments have conductive compensation with non-magnetic substrate materials. Whether the surface is rough or smooth can be accurately measured for thin coatings. The instrument operates based on magnetic induction method (PERMASCOPE, used for measuring iron substrates), eddy current method (ISOSCOPE for non-ferrous metal substrates), or both (DUALSCOPE): whether aluminum or iron automatically detects the substrate is determined by DUALSCOPE's measurement system to select the appropriate measurement method.
