Easy to install residual current transformersInstallation and commissioning precautions
  1. Installation location

    • Avoid interferenceKeep away from strong magnetic field sources (such as transformers and reactors) and power cables (recommended spacing ≥ 50cm).

    • vertical installationEnsure that the axis of the transformer is perpendicular to the wire to reduce measurement errors.

    • securely fixedUse buckles or bolts for fastening to prevent poor contact caused by vibration.

  2. Wiring specifications

    • Secondary side open circuit protectionIt is strictly prohibited to operate in an open circuit on the secondary side of the transformer, otherwise it may generate high voltage and endanger personal safety.

    • Shielded wire groundingThe analog output signal line needs to use shielded twisted pair cables, and the shielding layer should be grounded at one end (usually grounded at the receiving end).

    • Polarity correctDigital output requires confirmation of communication line A/B polarity to avoid communication failure.

  3. Debugging steps

    • zero point calibrationAdjust the zero offset of the transformer when there is no residual current (some products support automatic calibration).

    • Range verificationInject a known residual current (such as 100mA) using a standard source and check if the output signal is accurate.

    • Alarm threshold settingAccording to regulatory requirements (such as the residual current alarm value for building electrical systems usually being 300mA), set the operating value of the protective device.
