This General Specification (GS) covers the hardware specifications (A2PW503, A2PW504) of the 24 V DC output power supply unit for use with N-IO systems. This power supply unit is also used for the node interface unit N-IO system (A2NN30D), but this GS only describes its use as an external device for the power supply of field devices.



The CENTUM VP controller is capable of processing large amounts of on-site data at a satisfactory speed, and QUAN can meet the demand for processing large amounts of on-site data in the digital age.

The controller and I/O node modules can be placed within the remote monitoring range (IEC Zone 2/Class I Div.2), thereby saving installation costs.

4.3 A2BN4D and A2BN5D substrate models (for N-IO)

4.3.1 Overview

This section introduces the substrate specifications of the N-IO I/O units used in the CENTUM VP N-IO system.

There are two types of substrates, one for MTL barriers and the other for P+F barriers.

4.3.2 Standard specifications

For the installation environment standards of this product, please refer to GS "N-IO System Overview" (GS 33J62A10-01EN).

4.3.2.1 Guardrail Base Plate (A2BN4D)

This substrate allows for communication between on-site signals connected to the F-SB bus and node interface units through terminals installed on the intrinsic safety (I.S.) barrier on the substrate.

Barrier substrate, one of the components of N-IO I/O unit (used for barriers), defined as A2ZN4DC, is used in this system model to allow the installation of I/O modules and various I.S. barriers for Eaton Electrical MTL products. I. The S. barrier has an on-site connection terminal (pressure clamp terminal) for connecting on-site signals.

I/O modules can be installed in single redundancy or dual redundancy configurations. Up to 16 I.S. barriers can be installed per channel. In addition, the substrate has system power and on-site power interfaces, and has the function of supplying power from the node interface unit to the I/O module (A2KPB00) through the power line of the substrate, and providing on-site power to the I.S. barrier through the power line connected to the finger. This diagram shows the I/O modules and I.S. barriers that can be installed on the substrate.
