The hygienic conductivity probe 8221 can be widely used for measuring the conductivity of various pure or concentrated liquids. Due to its hygienic and sturdy structure, this type of conductivity probe is suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the biotechnology and chemical industries. The conductivity probe is based on two different technologies: • The probe using the dual electrode structure principle is suitable for measuring pure liquids, especially pure water. Pollution can affect measurements. The probe using the four electrode structure principle can prevent polarization effects and thus be resistant to pollution. In this way, excellent linearity can be ensured throughout the entire range. All versions are integrated with a temperature sensor (Pt1000). The probe must be connected to the 8619 multiCELL transmitter/controller.

Installation and maintenance of Baode conductivity sensor
Installation key points
Avoid bubbles: Flow sensors need to ensure that the solution is filled in the flow channel to prevent bubbles from interfering with the measurement.
Vertical installation: Immersion sensors are recommended to be installed vertically to reduce sediment adhesion.
Stay away from interference sources: Avoid installing close to strong electromagnetic field equipment (such as frequency converters).
routine maintenance
Cleaning the electrode: Wipe the surface of the electrode with deionized water or a soft cloth to avoid scratches (the surface of the platinum electrode should be kept smooth).
Calibration cycle: It is recommended to calibrate every 3-6 months using standard solutions (such as 1413 μ S/cm, 12.88 mS/cm).
Storage conditions: When not in use for a long time, the electrode should be soaked in a protective solution (such as 3 mol/L KCl) to prevent drying and failure.
Common troubleshooting
Unstable reading: Check if the electrode is contaminated or if the solution flows evenly.
Zero drift: recalibrate the zero point (using high-purity water or air calibration).
Slow response: It may be due to electrode aging and the sensor needs to be replaced.
