In order to promote the rapid development of the laser industry in South China and quickly connect with laser technology in Europe, the Guangdong Laser Industry Association organized a delegation to visit Germany in June this year, visited multiple global laser companies, and participated in the 2015 Munich Optoelectronic Exhibition. During the exhibition, they met with leaders of the European Optoelectronic Industry Association to discuss the exchange and cooperation of laser technology between China and Europe, and signed a cooperation framework agreement, creating an opportunity for the next strategic cooperation between China and Europe.
On November 1st, Mr. Carlos Lee, the Director General of the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC), visited Shenzhen. Leaders such as Hou Ruohong, the President of the Guangdong Laser Industry Association, Zhang Qingmao, the Executive Vice President, and Shao Huo, the Secretary General, warmly received him. The two sides had nearly three hours of communication and negotiation, exploring ways to strengthen the association's member exchanges and cooperation in various aspects, as well as increasing interaction and mutual visits in the future, jointly building a platform, and promoting the strategic ideas of promoting the good development of China Europe laser and optoelectronic industries. The plan has been finalized to hold a high-level "Asia Europe Industrial Laser Summit" alternately between China and Europe, and relevant implementation details have been discussed. Both sides have agreed to make this event a long-term, international, and high-level industrial exchange and cooperation event.

On May 19-20, 2016, another round of laser heat, AC heat, and European heat will be launched at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The second Asia Europe International Laser Summit is scheduled to be held in Europe in 2017.
In recent years, Asia has experienced mature development in laser research and industry markets, with countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Singapore having a solid foundation in laser technology. Currently, China's laser research and market have achieved rapid development. In 2014, the output value of Chinese laser components, laser light sources, and laser integrated processing equipment was about 30 billion yuan, accounting for over 30% of the global market share and maintaining an annual growth rate of over 10%.
