The Forging Machinery Branch of the Association successfully held the 2026 Academic Exchange Seminar

This conference is hosted by the Forging Machinery Branch, organized by Jinan Casting and Forging Institute Inspection and Testing Technology Co., Ltd., and co organized by Erzhong (Deyang) Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd.

At the opening stage of the meeting, the director of the R&D Center of Erzhong (Deyang) Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. delivered a speech, clarifying the key strategic position of forging equipment in supporting the development of high-end manufacturing and energy equipment industries. He highly recognized the outstanding contributions made by the association and its affiliated branches in consolidating industry consensus, leading technological innovation and transformation, and empowering high-quality development of the industry. He advocated for the whole industry to unite and work together to overcome key core technological bottlenecks. Jing Yitao, Deputy General Manager of Jinan Foundry Inspection and Testing Technology Co., Ltd. and Director of the Forging Machinery Branch Office of the Association, delivered a welcome speech. He stated that the branch of the association is based on the forefront of industry development, effectively fulfilling the important functions of academic exchange and technology promotion. It plays an irreplaceable hub and platform role in building industry communication bridges and connecting the collaborative innovation chain of industry, academia, research and application. It strives to promote the technological iteration and upgrading of the forging equipment industry and the improvement of industry quality. He also expressed sincere gratitude and welcome to all the experts and scholars who attended the scene.

At the meeting, professors from well-known universities such as Xi'an Jiaotong University, Hefei University of Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai Campus), Chongqing University, Guilin University of Technology, Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, etc. shared a number of cutting-edge academic achievements, covering key technologies and innovative applications in the industry. The report focuses on key areas such as the forming of nuclear energy equipment components, high-end precision CNC equipment design, precision forming of irregular thin-walled components, equipment failure engineering analysis, life control of aluminum alloy wheels, intelligent optimization of titanium alloy processes, spinning technology for high-end rotary parts, and composite strengthening of aviation alloys. It closely meets the needs of the national high-end equipment manufacturing industry, combines theoretical innovation and engineering practicality, and provides new ideas and solutions for the future technological development and iteration of the industry.

After the academic report session, a working meeting for statisticians from the Forging and Pressing Branch was organized. Statisticians or representatives from various enterprises in the industry gathered together to exchange and discuss key issues such as filling in industry statistical data, standardizing information reporting, and improving the quality and efficiency of statistical work. This further clarified the requirements for statistical work, consolidated the responsibility of enterprises for statistical reporting, and aimed to lay a solid data foundation for the analysis of the operation situation and industrial development of the forging industry.

On August 9th, the conference organized all representatives to visit the production plant area of Erzhong (Deyang) Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd.
