The 2026 (2nd) Laser Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference was held in Beijing

On September 22, 2026 (2nd) Laser Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference was held in Beijing. Mao Junfeng, Deputy Director of the High tech Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Liu Zhaojun, Vice President of Shandong University, and Li Aiguo, Deputy General Manager of China Academy of Mechanical Sciences Group Co., Ltd., attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

At the meeting, the "Initiative for High Quality Development of Laser Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing Industry" was released. Leng Jinsong, an academician of the CAS Member, Lu Bingheng, Chen Xin, Han Enhou, an academician of the CAE Member, Li Lin, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Liao Wenhe, a professor of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Yang Jun, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Yu Xiuming, vice president of the China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute, Jiang Kehong, general manager of the Manufacturing Engineering and Management Center of Geely Automobile Holdings (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., Yan Dapeng, vice chairman and chief engineer of Wuhan Ruike Fiber Laser Technology Co., Ltd., and other experts, scholars and entrepreneurs made keynote reports. Chaired by Lin Xin, a professor of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Zhang Weihong, an academician of the CAS Member, Li Lin, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xu Ming, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Aeronautical Manufacturing Technology, Tang Ye, a researcher of the 25th Institute of the Chinese Academy of Aerospace Science and Industry, Zhuang Changhui, general manager of Xiamen Han's Sunlea Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., and Wang Wenbin, chairman of Suzhou Borley New Material Technology Co., Ltd., the round table exchange between academicians and entrepreneurs was held around "AI enabled laser manufacturing and additive manufacturing". Professor Li Xiaowei from Beijing Institute of Technology introduced the "15th Five Year Plan" for the development of additive manufacturing and laser manufacturing. Focusing on technological and industrial innovation in the fields of laser manufacturing and additive manufacturing during China's 15th Five Year Plan period, the conference has set up 16 parallel sub forums for special exchanges.

The theme of this conference is "Laser Building Foundation and Additive Expanding the Future of Intelligent Manufacturing", which is sponsored by China Laser Manufacturing Technology and Industry Innovation Alliance, Shandong University, Beijing University of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China National Academy of Mechanical Sciences Group Co., Ltd., the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and jointly sponsored by the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery, and Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology. More than 1500 people attended the meeting, including officials from relevant departments such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, officials from the High tech Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as officials from science, technology, industry, and information technology departments in Beijing, Guangdong, Shandong, and other provinces (cities), 11 academicians, over 100 well-known experts and scholars, and representatives from relevant enterprises, universities, research institutes, industry associations, scientific journals, financial investment institutions, and other units.
