At the same time, the Siemens eVTOL team, led by Yu Guohua, Vice President of Aerospace Ship and Low Altitude eVTOL Industry, was invited to participate in the "Advanced Low Altitude Aircraft (eVTOL) Design, Research and Development, Testing, and Core Component Technology Forum" to introduce and share the theme of "Crossing the Airworthiness Gap, Supporting the Business Future - Siemens Digital Threads Empowering eVTOL Safety Certification and Commercial Takeoff". Analyzed the life and death challenges behind the eVTOL track from the perspectives of industry landscape and airworthiness challenges, analyzed the core challenges faced by the eVTOL industry, and why there is an urgent need for digital transformation now;
Siemens has proposed an end-to-end digital threading solution to address these core challenges, helping eVTOL enterprises reshape their airworthiness compliance system and achieve full chain data connectivity and compliance traceability;
At the same time, based on digital threads, six digital technology pillars provided by Siemens for eVTOL in the fields of system engineering, research and development design, simulation testing, and intelligent manufacturing were introduced, and customer digital application cases such as Joby and JetZero were shared;
Finally, the construction path of eVTOL enterprise platformization strategy and long-term competitive barriers was summarized, from developing tools to building commercial moats.
After the keynote speech, during the roundtable discussion, we collaborated with eVTOL whole machine enterprises and digital experts in the same industry to explore the core challenges of eVTOL whole machine research and development, testing, and airworthiness.
