Electronic scales are a broad concept that can be divided into industrial scales, commercial scales, etc. based on their different uses.
1、 Industrial scale is a general term for various specialized scales designed for certain special purposes in industrial production processes, such as hanging scales, vehicle scales (including car scales, track scales, wheel scales, axle scales, etc.), packaging scales, hopper scales, platform scales, belt scales, loading scales (i.e. feeding scales), weighing scales, sorting combination scales (i.e. combination scales), etc. They can be mechanical scales, electromechanical scales, or electronic scales, but the latter are more common. In the Hefei area, electronic weighing scales are now the mainstay of enterprise truck measurement, which has led to a new stage in the sales of Hefei weighing scales. There are also industrial scales used for process control and process flow, sometimes also known as process scales.
2、 Commercial scales are a general term for various scales that meet the accuracy requirements and corresponding calibration requirements stipulated by national metrology regulations, and can be used for commodity trade settlement and trade management, such as retail scales, pricing scales, postal scales, freight scales, weight price label scales (i.e. barcode pricing scales), etc. They can be mechanical scales, electromechanical scales, or electronic scales, but the latter are mostly used in newly made ones.
According to the requirements of the International Organization for Legal Metrology (UIML), when commercial scales are used for direct sale to the public, they should have a double-sided ruler or double-sided display function, where the displayed values (such as quality, unit price, selling price, total price, etc.) not only face the seller but also the buyer to ensure fair transactions.
