On June 25, 2005, Danish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Trade, Bent Bendt Bendtsen attended the opening ceremony of Danfoss' new factory in Wuqing, Tianjin during his official visit to China. The manufacturing factory established in Wuqing, Tianjin in 1996 has now expanded into its production base in China and even Asia. More than 900 government officials and business leaders from both China and Denmark, including Danfoss President and CEO Yongen Clausen and members of the Danfoss Group Board of Directors, as well as all employees of Danfoss's Tianjin factory, attended the opening ceremony. The distinguished guests attending the celebration include Tianjin Deputy Mayor Chen Zhifeng and Danish Ambassador to China Mi Lei.

Danfoss' new factory covers an area of 150000 square meters, including 40000 square meters of factory buildings and 7 production lines, and is one of the largest production enterprises in Wuqing Development Zone, Tianjin. 70% of all Danfoss products produced at the Wuqing factory have been localized, and over half have been exported abroad; The total number of employees has doubled compared to a year ago, and it is expected to reach 1000 employees in the next two years. Danfoss fully automatic unmanned heat exchange units have been put into production in the new factory.
