Common knowledge of household safe use of electricity

1. Avoid overloading the household power cord, and replace worn-out and aging power cords in a timely manner to avoid accidents.

2. The overall and individual household power insurance should be configured reasonably to protect household appliances.

3. Qualified power cords, power plugs, and sockets should be used to connect temporary power sources, and they should be safe and reliable. Damaged ones cannot be used, and the power cord connectors should be wrapped with adhesive tape.

4. When the temporary power line is close to the high-voltage transmission line, it should maintain a sufficient safe distance from the high-voltage transmission line (0.7 meters for 10kV and below, 1 meter for 35kV, 1.5 meters for 110kV, 3 meters for 220kV, and 5 meters for 500kV).

5. It is strictly prohibited to connect wires from public lines without authorization.

6. Line connectors should ensure good contact and reliable connection.

7. In room decoration, power cords hidden in walls should be placed in flame-retardant sheaths, and the cross-section of the power cords should meet the load requirements.

8. When using electric tools such as drills, insulated gloves must be worn.

9. When a household appliance catches fire, the power should be cut off before putting out the fire.

10. The wiring of household appliances must be ensured to be correct, and professional personnel should be consulted when in doubt.

11. Household electricity should be equipped with qualified leakage protectors with over current protection to ensure personal safety when using household appliances.

12. When using household appliances, they should have a good grounding of the casing, and there should be a common grounding wire indoors.

13. Wet hands should not touch household appliances with dots, and wet cloths should not be used to wipe household appliances in use. Before repairing household appliances, the power must be turned off first.

14. Household electric heating equipment and heating devices must be kept away from gas cylinders. When gas leakage is found in the gas pipeline, open the window for ventilation first, do not turn on the power, and seek professional repair in a timely manner.
