When choosing a regulating valve, the corrosion resistance of the regulating valve should also be considered. Regulating valves, due to their direct contact with the medium, may be subjected to corrosion or abrasion from temperature, pressure, viscosity, or media containing solid particles and corrosive media. The forms of corrosion or abrasion are diverse, and the valve core and seat are particularly severely corroded or eroded by the high-speed erosion of the medium.
For corrosive media with low regulation requirements, diaphragm valves can be used; For highly corrosive and particulate media, ball valves, butterfly valves, and other types of valves can be used. The valve core and seat must be made of special materials that are corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant. For example, in order to meet the process conditions and usage requirements of synthetic ammonia and urea, the working conditions of the valve core are extremely harsh due to the fact that the media are mostly liquid ammonia, ammonium carbamate, etc. At this point, there are not only certain requirements for the material of the regulating valve, but also some special requirements for its structure to prevent the failure of the regulating valve. Therefore, while considering the manufacturing materials of the regulating valve, the suitability of the valve structure should also be taken into account in order to achieve better measurement results.
