Hydraulic support is a structure used to control the mining pressure of coal mining face. The external load of mining face pressure acts on the hydraulic support. In the mechanical system of the interaction between the hydraulic support and the surrounding rock of the mining face, if the combined force of the supporting components of the hydraulic support and the external load force acting on the hydraulic support by the roof are exactly on the same straight line, then the hydraulic support is very suitable for this surrounding rock of the mining face.
The hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control system for coal mines is one of the key technical equipment for achieving high production in coal mines. At present, the electro-hydraulic control technology of hydraulic supports abroad has developed to a relatively mature stage, with continuously expanding control functions, enhanced adaptability to working face conditions, and significantly improved reliability. The mainstream hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control systems today mainly include the PM31 model from MARCO in Germany, the PM4 model from DBT in Germany, and the RS20 model from JOY in the United States. Almost all of the newly equipped fully mechanized mining faces in coal mines in countries such as the United States, Australia, and South Africa use hydraulic supports controlled by electro-hydraulic technology.

Basic principle of hydraulic support steel wire braided rubber sheath connector
(1) Bidirectional adjacent frame control system. Each support frame in the fully mechanized mining face is equipped with a frame control box. The operator selects the adjacent frame control mode through the frame control box, and then sends corresponding control commands (gives electrical signals) according to the instructions, causing the corresponding electromagnet or micro motor on the adjacent frame to act, converting the electrical signal into a hydraulic signal, controlling the main control valve to open, and supplying liquid to the hydraulic cylinder of the support frame to achieve the corresponding action of the adjacent frame support. The working status of the bracket is fed back to the rack control box by displacement sensors and pressure sensors, and the rack control box then determines the next action of the bracket based on the feedback signals from the sensors.
(2) Bidirectional group control system. Organize the support brackets of the working face into several groups. On the first frame within this group, the operator presses the start button of the frame control box to issue a command, and the adjacent frame will operate according to the predetermined program. After the frame is moved, the control signal will be automatically sent to the next frame control box, and the next frame will start operating. Similarly, achieve automatic control of intra group brackets.
(3) Full face automatic control system. The fully functional electro-hydraulic control system is equipped with a main console and infrared device, which can achieve full face automation control of the linkage between the support and the coal mining machine. The principle is that each rack control box on the rack is connected to the main control console. When the infrared receiving device of the rack receives the position signal sent by the infrared transmitter of the coal mining machine, it feeds back to the main control console. The main control console sends instructions based on the feedback signal to make the corresponding rack move.
