On November 30, 2015, in L ü ell Malmaison, FranceToday, the 21st Climate Change Conference (COP21) was held in Paris. As an expert in energy efficiency management and automation, Schneider Electric has been actively contributing to addressing climate change, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting sustainable development. At this year's Paris Climate Summit, Schneider Electric announced 10 commitments on sustainable development. These commitments are not only consistent with the company's sustainable evaluation standard, the Earth and Society Barometer, which has been implemented since 2005, but also align with the Sustainable Development Goal of not exceeding a temperature rise of 2 degrees Celsius, and will help promote the achievement of this goal.
For Schneider Electric, these 10 commitments provide support for the company's goal of reducing carbon emissions from production and operation sites over the next 15 years, and will also promote the establishment of a harmonious industrial ecosystem. This system can promote the improvement of customers and suppliers in the following two aspects:
Support and urge partners to implement proactive energy efficiency management solutions to reduce energy consumption by 30%;
By providing clean energy to those in need or helping them overcome energy shortages, we aim to improve their lives.
Zhao Guohua, chairman and executive officer of Schneider Electric Group, said: "At Schneider Electric, we do our best to ensure that everyone can feel Life Is On at any time and anywhere. Sustainability is the core of a company's strategy. We firmly believe that improving climate conditions can bring vitality to economic development, and addressing climate change and achieving development should be considered together. With the help of new technologies, we can reflect on the current way energy is utilized and consider how to make it more sustainable and efficient. Moreover, we also believe that a stable carbon pricing system should be established to combine everyone's own interests with their actions to address climate change. ”
Schneider Electric has accumulated rich experience in the field of sustainable development by using the barometer of the Earth and society as a sustainable evaluation standard. On this basis, Schneider Electric made 10 solemn commitments to the Paris Climate Change Conference, covering the company's products, solutions, research and development, and supply chain:
