The company focuses on astronomical technology and methods as its research direction, mainly developing star observation instruments, solar observation instruments, artificial satellite observation instruments (including range instruments), astronomical measurement instruments, radio astronomy instruments, and other integrated optical, electromechanical, and computer instruments; Scientific and technological achievements such as astronomical telescope optics research, solar multi-channel telescope, solar magnetic field telescope, 1.2-meter infrared telescope, and solar fine structure telescope have won 33 national and provincial scientific research achievement awards, including more than 20 first and second prizes. The 2.16-meter astronomical telescope won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 1998 and is now the largest astronomical optical telescope in the Far East.
