Shallow media filters mainly treat suspended solids in water, reduce concentration, turbidity, remove sediment, organic matter, and inorganic matter from water. The raw water is filtered through different materials inside to remove particles and reduce turbidity, and then flows out of the filter through the bottom distribution tray (also known as the water distributor and collector, also known as the filter cap). If equipped with activated carbon or non coal smoke filter material, it can also adsorb and remove corresponding organic matter, ions, etc.
1、 Product composition:
The shallow medium filter is mainly composed of a stainless steel (304 material) filter cap, filled with quartz sand with a particle size of 2-4 millimeters, and a backwash control device and controller. For the installation of 25 cm quartz sand in agricultural tanks and 45 cm quartz sand in industrial tanks.
Backwashing is achieved by an automatic controller, differential pressure sensor, three-way valve, and electromagnetic head.
2、 Principle Introduction:
When the system is in a filtering state, raw water enters the filtering tank through the inlet and flows evenly through the filter material layer through the upper water distribution device. When the water flows through the filter material layer, suspended solids are intercepted by the filter material. The filtered clean water is uniformly collected by the water collection device and flows out of the outlet pipe for user use.
With the continuous accumulation of impurities, the pressure loss continues to increase; The self-control system detects changes in pressure difference. When the pressure difference increases to a certain set value or reaches the set cleaning time, the system will automatically switch to the backwash state. The controller sends control action commands to backwash each unit. The inlet of the two three-way valves in each tank is closed, and the sewage outlet is opened. The purified water filtered out of the second tank enters the tank through the outlet of each tank, changing the direction of water flow and flushing the filter material. Impurities accumulated in the filter material are quickly washed up and discharged from the filtration system through the sewage pipe. After the sewage discharge in each tank is completed, the control system issues commands, the sewage outlet of the two three-way valves is closed, the inlet is opened, and the backwash of each tank is completed and enters the normal filtration state; The control cabinet issues a command to start backwashing the second tank, and the backwashing process passes through one tank.
When the general pressure difference reaches 50-70Kpa, the controller sends a backwash signal and opens the three-way valve for backwashing and sewage discharge. The backwashing time is generally not less than 120 seconds, and the filter automatically returns to the filtering state after the backwashing is completed.

3、 Product application
