Automatic backwash filter

The stainless steel self-cleaning filter consists of a housing, multiple filter elements, backwash mechanism, and differential pressure controller. The inner cavity of the filter is divided into upper and lower chambers by a transverse partition inside the stainless steel filter housing. The upper chamber is equipped with multiple filter elements, which fully utilizes the filtering space and significantly reduces the volume of the filter. The lower chamber is equipped with a backwash suction cup. During operation, the turbid liquid enters the lower chamber of the filter through the inlet and then enters the inner cavity of the filter element through the partition hole. Impurities larger than the gap of the filter element are intercepted, and the clean liquid passes through the gap to reach the upper chamber, and then is sent out from the outlet.
1、 Filter machine
During operation, the water to be filtered enters through the water inlet, flows through the filter screen, and enters the pipeline required by the user through the outlet for process circulation. The particles and impurities in the water are trapped inside the filter screen. As the cycle continues, more and more particles are intercepted, and the filtration speed slows down. However, the incoming sewage still enters, and the filter holes become smaller, resulting in a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet. When the large pressure difference reaches the set value, the differential pressure transmitter sends an electrical signal to the controller, which starts the driving motor to drive the shaft to rotate through the transmission component. At the same time, the sewage outlet opens and is discharged. After the filter screen is cleaned, the pressure difference drops to the smallest value, and the system returns to the initial filtering state, and the system runs normally.

2、 Working principle
The filter element adopts a high-strength wedge-shaped filter screen, which automatically cleans the filter element through pressure difference control and timing control. When impurities accumulate on the surface of the filter element, causing the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet to increase to the set value, or when the timer reaches the preset time, the electric control box sends a signal to drive the backwash mechanism. When the backwash suction cup is aligned with the inlet of the filter element, the drain valve opens, and the system releases pressure and drains water. A negative pressure zone with a relative pressure lower than the water pressure outside the filter element appears on the inside of the suction cup and filter element, forcing some of the clean circulating water to flow from the outside of the filter element into the inside of the filter element. Impurities and particles adsorbed on the inner wall of the filter element flow into the tray with the water and are discharged from the drain valve. The designed filter creates a jet effect inside the filter element, and any impurities will be washed away from the smooth inner wall. When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the filter returns to normal or the timer set time ends, the material does not stop flowing throughout the entire process, and the backwash consumes less water, achieving continuous and automated production.
3、 Design Features
1. The filtration equipment adopts a mechanical structure to achieve true high-pressure backwashing function, which can easily remove impurities trapped by the filter screen, clean *, and ensure no attenuation of flux, ensuring filtration efficiency and service life.
2. The stainless steel filter adopts 304 and 316L stainless steel wedge-shaped filter screens, which have high strength, precision, and corrosion resistance. The highest filtration accuracy can reach 25 microns.
3. Stainless steel filters achieve automatic backwashing through their own retrieval and strain functions, which can cope with unstable water quality fluctuations without manual intervention.
4. Stainless steel filters have fewer vulnerable parts, no consumables, low operation and maintenance costs, and simple operation and management.
5. The stainless steel filter operates accurately and can flexibly adjust the backwash pressure difference time and time setting value according to different water sources and filtration accuracy.
6. During the backwashing process of stainless steel filters, each (group) filter screen is backwashed sequentially; Ensure that the B filter is safe and efficient for cleaning, while other filters are not affected, continue filtering.
7. The stainless steel filter adopts a pneumatic drain valve, which has a short backwash time, low backwash water consumption, and is environmentally friendly and economical.

In principle, the inlet and outlet diameter of the filter should not be smaller than the inlet diameter of the matching pump, and generally consistent with the diameter of the inlet pipeline.

Determine the pressure level of the filter based on the maximum possible high pressure that may occur in the filtering pipeline.
5. Selection of pore size:
The main consideration is the particle size of impurities that need to be intercepted, depending on the process requirements of the medium flow. The particle size that can be intercepted by various specifications of wire mesh can be found in the table "Filter Screen Specifications".
6. Filter material:
The material of the filter is generally chosen to be the same as the material of the connected process pipeline. For different service conditions, filters made of cast iron, carbon steel, low-alloy steel, or stainless steel can be considered.
7. Filter resistance loss calculation
Water filters have a pressure loss of 0.52-1.2kpa at a generally calculated rated flow rate
6、 Installation and usage precautions
1. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in pipelines;
2. When installing and using, attention should be paid to protecting the control box, sensors, and transmission parts to prevent damage;
3. Connect the pipeline in the direction indicated by the arrow on the stainless steel self-cleaning filter body;
4. When debugging the electric part, please note that the rotation direction of the motor should be consistent with the marked direction;
5. During installation, consideration should be given to ease of maintenance, and a bypass pipeline should be installed;
6. During installation, it is advisable to consider placing the sewage outlet at the bottom to facilitate the discharge of debris;
7. The sewage pipe should be connected to the sewage ditch, and the sewage pipeline should not be too long.
