By detecting the gas pressure inside the coal seam borehole, it is possible to determine whether there is a risk of gas outburst. In addition, it can also detect the concentrations of methane and carbon dioxide gases inside the borehole, which is only used as an auxiliary judgment and does not have the function of gas concentration exceeding the limit alarm.

After signal amplification and A/D conversion, the output of the measuring instrument is sent to the CPU for processing. The pressure, carbon dioxide, and methane concentration values are displayed on the LCD screen. When the CPU is in a normal detection state, it simultaneously monitors battery voltage, displays time in a timely manner, alarms, and keyboard inputs, and takes corresponding actions. During charging, a three-stage charging management system is adopted, with the entire charging process monitored and indicated by the CPU, and automatically stopped when fully charged.
