The Venusil Diol chromatography column is based on ultra-high purity silica gel with a surface bonded dihydroxypropane group. Due to the weaker hydrophilicity of the diol group compared to the silanol group of pure silica gel, it has higher selectivity compared to silica gel with normal phase separation.
