The output value of each pixel in the image of the RedEdge MX agricultural remote sensing multispectral camera represents the reflectivity of a specific wavelength of light. Concatenate the images to form a map with multiple layers of spectral data. By mathematically calculating these multispectral data, various plant indices can be obtained to measure various plant properties. Some indices are used to measure the chlorophyll content in plant leaves, which can accurately reflect the nitrogen content of plants and can be used to determine how to fertilize. Some indices are used to estimate the leaf area per unit area of land, which helps determine the growth and health status of crops in farmland. By combining the reflectance of red and near-infrared light, a commonly used index, Normalized Plant Index (NDVI), can be obtained.
The RedEdge MX snapshot multispectral camera is a technologically advanced, lightweight and compact multispectral imaging device that can be mounted on drones. It is specifically designed to provide multi band spectral data for agricultural remote sensing. It has five independent imagers, each equipped with a specially designed filter, allowing each imager to receive spectra in the wavelength range. It is an industrial grade imaging device with high dynamic range under different lighting conditions, and there are no artifacts generated during general drone recording and photography. The RedEdge MX multispectral camera can store all data and images on one SD card, facilitating data transfer and avoiding tedious card swapping. And all image files are marked with time and geography, without the need for third-party imaging tools or flight logs. No need for integrating balls, each device has been calibrated to ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of each measurement. RedEdge M has guaranteed quality, is sturdy and durable, and the device will not be damaged even in hard landing situations outside of sandstorms.
