Overview
The KH200 soil tensiometer consists of a pressure gauge, a Coriolis tube, and a ceramic head. After filling the chocolate tube with water, the ceramic head becomes moist and can prevent external air from entering the ceramic head. When there is a pressure difference between the water potential of the tested soil and the tension meter, the water in the tension meter seeps into the tested soil until it reaches equilibrium. At this point, the value displayed on the pressure gauge is the soil water potential of the tested soil.
